When I was 20 I used to catch Open. Mike poetry at the dragon's den last night in my late 40s. I caught spoken word again at the den and it did not disappoint. Thank you for keeping the spirit fed with spoken word in that magic place. Mr. Crowley? Do you like what they've done with the place?

Funky jazz lounge, burlesque club, stand up comedy, dance club, and open mic all in 1! Early evenings it's a chill little spot for soulful jazz music with smooth & strong rum drinks. Nina the bartender is the coolest! She knows our drinks as soon as we walk in, super friendly & makes you feel at home. A little later in the night, they kick off an incredible burlesque show upstairs Talk Nerdy To Me. 20 well spent, it's a must see!! Sometimes they're serving up wings in the courtyard too, which are amazing. Late nights this place transforms again into a club. They've got something for everyone here! No cover early when you come for the bands downstairs. Such a good vibe here, don't pass it up!

Visited on a Thursday night with my buddy Carlos. 95% black venue. Drawn to the frosty cold A/C blasting onto the hot & humid street outside, throwback mixes of Mary J. Blige and Ice Cube thumping out of the packed balcony upstairs. Live music downstairs, friendly bartenders, and within 20 minutes of arriving, the DJ upstairs had the finest locals of New Orleans popping for hours. Singularly the best night out since techno raves in Germany as a teenager! Must visit when in NOLA, great venue and I'll bet there's not a bad night to visit.

One of my favorite venues in the entire city. It brings so many different people together. Wednesdays are always a fun place with Dancehall Classics with DJ T-Roy. Thursdays have become a favorite of mine with Harbinger Project feat. Ray presents Throwback Thursday, these guys are extremely talented ARTIST! They will cover all the 90s hits you yearn for. Fridays are still insane with The Tipping Point with DJ RQ Away jamming to some old and current hip-hop downstairs, while upstairs The Buena Vista Social Latin Dance Night blasts the best salsa, bachata, reggaeton, merengue, punta, and the rest of the Caribbean flavors! Sundays of course are for church! Church is the name of the event on Sunday nights! It's a mixture of dubstep, lights, college kids, mixing with locals, mixing with hipsters, with service industry folks! It has a cool laid back attitude.

A fantastic place, that feels off the beaten path from all the hype of Bourbon Street. Two floors of live music. A great outdoor courtyard. And people just having a great time.

The Atmosphere was on point. Everyone was relaxed having a good time. This Dj know how can keep the party vibe going and know how to slow it down with just the right song. And Dj can play some MK11 and Street fighter. Anime/Gaming night on Sunday will most definitely going again.
